Association Executive Management is headed by David M. Patt, CAE, a veteran not-for-profit executive and volunteer leader. David understands the difference between writing plans and implementing them.
He served as an Executive Director for most of his career, making key decisions and carrying out plans on a day-to-day basis, while leading the growth of organizations facing significant financial, marketing, political, and programming challenges. David has utilized expertise in strategic management and planning, governance, lobbying, event planning, membership recruitment, public relations, training, volunteer recruitment, certification, fund-raising, and publications. He has worked on behalf of membership societies and public interest groups dealing with health care, athletics, organizational development, schools, appraisal, economic development, and other issues. David is a recipient of the United Way "Gold Award" and was named a Certified Association Executive (CAE) by the American Society of Association Executives.
He is the author of 200 Practical Decisions for Membership Organizations, and has written articles and presented workshops on management, sponsorship, decision-making, event planning, generational issues, ethics, and advocacy, and served on several government advisory panels.
David is past chair of the Career Services Committee of Association Forum of Chicagoland. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and served as President of neighborhood, business, and schools organizations. |
